Join us for a free online event to learn about the Big Farmland Bird Count, how to help birds on your farm and what we’ve learned from ten years of the count.
Join us for an exciting online workshop all about the Big Farmland Bird Count! Whether you’re a farmer, birdwatcher or just want to know more about the biodiversity in our countryside, this workshop is perfect for you.
Starting on Tuesday 6 February at 10:30, this workshop will provide an opportunity to learn about this exciting UK-wide initiative, now in its eleventh year. If you’ve never taken part before, this is an ideal introduction to the count. If you’re a regular BFBC participant, you’ll also learn how your results have been part of a long-term scheme that has provided valuable insight into what’s happening across our farms.
During this online event, you’ll hear from experts including GWCT advisor Amber Lole, NFU Environment Forum chair Richard Bramley, and Patrick Barker, whose 533ha family farm in Suffolk is a LEAF Demonstration Farm, an AHDB Strategic Farm and is a past winner of both the Farmers Weekly Countryside Farmer of the Year and FWAG’s Silver Lapwing award.
Can’t make it live? Don’t worry all ticket holders will be sent a recording.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge and appreciation for our wonderful farmland and the birds it supports. Register now to secure your spot and get ready for an exciting and educational event!
